Martyn Element-President

Martyn Element, founder and President of Element and Associates, is primarily focused on sourcing and pursuing new business ventures globally and has attained a proven track record of securing financing for these opportunities.

Martyn’s network has been cultivated extensively while in his position at Element and Associates where he has developed strong working relationships with specialized funds from around the world, as well as high net worth individuals for private and public equity financings.

Prior to forming Element and Associates in 1989, Martyn developed his experience in the public financial markets in Canada and was previously involved in the food and beverage industry in Canada as well as Great Britain. He brings a broad contact base and genuine personal interest to each client and is efficient in identifying needs and customizing strategy, accordingly.

Johan Grandin-Associate

Johan has over 20 years of experience working with public companies and a proven track record in raising venture capital and brings extensive expertise in corporate financial restructuring and capital markets. Through his past officer and director positions for various public issuers, Mr. Grandin has learned to streamline growth initiatives with precision. Having also worked in the field of engineering, Mr. Grandin holds a Masters of Science degree in Business Economics and Engineering Physics.

Robert Harrison-Associate

Robert is a successful Canadian entrepreneur with a solid corporate background in the manufacturing and food processing industry. Having successfully run Neilson Dairy in the late 80’s, Mr. Harrison went on to create several other successful companies in the manufacturing and service industries. In addition to introducing Haagen Dazs to Canadian consumers, Mr. Harrison was responsible for engaging and then securing the license to produce and market Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream of Vermont, in Canada. Rob has consulted many Fortune 500 food companies including Heinz, Nabisco, Nestle and Slim Fast. He is an excellent presenter, negotiator and very charismatic leader.

Ron Beesley-Associate

Mr. Beesley has over 37 years of experience in the engineering field involved in project design and construction management. For the last 25 years he has been a principal of Beesley Engineering Ltd. a civil and structural consulting engineering company based in Coquitlam, BC. For a number of years, Mr. Beesley was also involved in a water treatment company from the private company stage with few sales to a publicly listed company with international sales.

Ron has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Birmingham U.K. and is a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia and a Chartered Engineer in the UK.

Pavel Sorokin-Corporate Accountant

Pavel has been a member of the Element team since the beginning. He has partaken in the development and growth of Element & Associates with ease and enthusiasm. A current CGA student, Pavel holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University along with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Moscow, Russia. Pavel has had the opportunity to work as a consultant as well, and spent 6 years with Metaprocess Corporation Engineering in Russia.
